Saxon Blood Royal

TO BE PUBLISHED SOON :

Saxon Blood Royal tells the story of the last Saxon heir to the throne of England, Edgar Atherling, and his sister, Margaret.

Edgar lived a long life in spite of leading many battles. He personally knew five kings of England, five kings of Scotland, as well as queens, dukes, saints, crusaders and even an Emperor. He travelled from Hungary through the Holy Roman Empire, England, Scotland, Flanders, Denmark, Normandy, Italy, the Byzantine Empire and the Holy Land.

Margaret wanted to be a nun but ended up as the wife of a king and mother of three kings and a queen. Following the Rule of Saint Benedict, she dedicated her efforts to the needy and the church, being declared a saint years later. Thanks to her, the Saxon blood royal was not extinguished but continued in the British royal blood line.

Part One: The Uncrowned King tells how Edgar is cheated of the throne and leads the Saxons to rebellion while Margaret sacrifices her vocation to support her brother’s claim.

Part Two: The Queen’s Legacy tells of Edgar’s adventures in Europe, his fight to defend his nephew’s claims, his crusade and the fulfilment of his promises to his sister.
